NEWS!!!![]() MONTE CARLO HERE WE COME!!! [Internal Release: 28th April 2010] In less than 5 HOURS we'll be taking the ScimCentral SE6b from London (well Manchester if truth be told) to Monaco in time for the Monaco Classic Grand Prix on the 2nd May 2010. Expect photo's and updates to be posted when possible. When we get back we'll put forward a 2011 rally and throw it open to all! | EVENTS!!!![]() [Internal Release: 28th April 2010] Suspension rebuilt, wheels balanced and a couple of leaks sealed... It's now or never as we head off this afternoon for the blue skies of Monte Carlo. Keep up with us on facebook by requesting David Hawksworth as a friend. (You'll know which one, I've set my profile pic to an arty shot of the SE6b). Under the advice of the ScimitarWeb forum members we've stocked up on various bits and bobs, tools and tapes, to keep us on the tarmac. Expect a full report on this page when we get back! Bwana Kasi! The Route: Day 1: Manchester to Dover (Wednesday 28th April) The first day will see us make the trip from our home city of Manchester to the capital city of London for a quick photoshoot of the car outside Westminster. From then a quick trip down to Dover, ready for our 6.30am Ferry to Calaiis. Day 2: Calais to Provins (Thursday 29th April) Once on French soil we'll blast down to Paris for lunch on the Champs Elysees, before heading south to Provins for the night. Day 3: Provins to Lyon (Friday 30th April) Today we'll head down to Lyon via Nevers, with a quick trip to the F1 circuit of Magny-Cours. The possibility of a thrash round the track will be debated based on the car's progress thus far and how well we've managed to repack the boot after the first two nights away. Day 4: Lyon to Monaco (Saturday 1st May) The toughest day of the whole trip. From Lyon we'll head into the French Alps, making the trip over a number of peaks including the Col De Rousset, and visiting a number of towns for photoshoots, including the town of 'Die' at the foot of one of our most treacherous descents. We'll cross briefly into Italy before dropping down into Monaco where we'll search for a parking space between the Ferarri's outside the Grand Casino. Day 5: Riviera, Rest & Racing (Sunday 2nd May) Save for a short trip up the coastal road to Antibes for breakfast, Sunday will be spent watching the Monte Carlo Classic Grand Prix. The Journey Home With our ferry leaving for Dover in two days, the return journey will be done in two days via the autoroutes. To make it more interesting we've not planned this bit yet... | DIARY!!!![]() klkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkllkkl [External Content : 21st April 2010] The 7th annual Monaco Classic Grand Prix will see pre-1984 Formula 1, 3 and classic GP cars compete in a number of races across a glorious weekend of racing.
