Beauty & The Breeze... A convertible that can seat four people in comfort and style, transforming a iconic grand tourer into an elegant and enjoyable open-top cabriolet. The
SE8, or GTC as it is known, is a bold move away from the hard top tradition of our grand touring sports estates, and whilst such a move offers owners the choice of sumptuous cloth or sun and clouds as their canopy, it doesn't compromise on the enjoyment of driving a hand-built sports car.
Styling & Design The GTC provides luxurious open-top motoring for four occupants, and does so in a way that bears witness to the pedigree and individuality of the Scimitar GTE. Like the GTE, the GTC is built on a steel chassis and complemented with a single piece GRP body. The GTC also benefits from the same 2.8 litre engine from the SE6b, providing both driver and passengers with an open-air opera from the muscular, burbling V6. Inside the interior is very much GTE apart from the saloon shaped appearance created by the retractable roof, which folds down behind the rear seats to provide an impressive vista for all onboard. With the GTC it's not so much looking out from the inside but the outside looking in as you attract attention everywhere you go. So whether you're heading out for a social event on a mid-summer evening or simply out for a sporting drive, the GTC delivers. Comfort & Safety The thrills of open-top motoring doesn't need to increase the risk to your safety in the event of an accident. The SE8 builds on the central roll-over bar of its siblings and adds to that a central strut to create a 'T' shaped roll-over bar to protect it's occupants whilst also adding support for the hood and rigidity for the body. Power assisted steering (PAS) ensures your driving pleasure isn't hampered when manoeuveing through busy streets or car parks, and the optional refinement of an automatic gearbox means long journeys are as effortless as they are enjoyable. Luggage space, whilst smaller than its GTE siblings, is still generous and capable of dealing with most demands. Optional accessories, such as a luggage rack for the rear boot shelf ensures this car is still able to handle long distance touring, with the added benefit of a sunshine sky (weather permitting of course!). Technology From the optional inclusion of electric windows, door mirrors and aerials, the GTC allows you to remain in command at all times without interruption to your driving experience. Modern technology also enables you to take advantage of mobile communications en-route ensuring you can stay in touch with those important to you whilst on the move.
